Welcome to Play Plus for Kids!

Here are a few common questions and answers:

Who pays admission?

Children ages 9 months through 9 years pay admission.  We do have age-appropriate things for toddlers to enjoy.  Older children are welcome, while they play gently, to mentor the small ones.  Adults are always free at Play Plus.

Is there a dress code?

Play Plus requires sock covered feet (Everyone - Children, adults, playing or not, grandparents - Everyone) on our play floor.  We have guests who are still crawling and we want to provide the cleanest floor possible for them.  The play floor is the carpeted area.  You are welcome to stay on the tiled lobby area in your bare feet or shoes, but keep in mind if you need to assist your child or use the restrooms, you will need to be on the carpeted area.

Please dress your child so their diaper/underpants is/are covered.   This might mean providing your child with shorts to wear under her dress.

When do you have Open Play?

Play Plus's focus is Open Play, so our Open Hours are Play Hours.

Monday-Friday 9:30 am till 5:30 pm (until September 1st when we will be closed on Thursdays)

Saturday 9:30 am till 3 pm

Sunday 10:00 am till 3 pm

Play Plus does not close during regular hours, except for those closings already posted on our Hours page.  In the event we need to close due to Hurricane conditions, family illness, or unexpected emergency, we will do our best to inform everyone via email, Facebook, messages on the phone system, and a note on the door.

Speaking of scheduled closings,  will I lose days to play certain months?  What about after September 1st when you're closed on Thursdays?

You will not miss out on play days due to us closing!  We will take into account the scheduled closings and make sure your play pass's expiration date is scheduled to give you at least 30 days to play!  In the event of unexpected emergencies causing us to close (see above), we will make decisions on a case-by-case basis and work to be fair to everyone.

Why are you closing on Thursdays after September 1st?

don't fret!  We are offering Thursdays as PRIVATE play time for your group, school, troop, at SUPER prices!  We are working out the details, so check back as summer wanes for information.  Have a group who would be interested in PRIVATE play time?  Register your organization with Ms. Erin and she'll send your group an invitation!

Do I need an appointment to Play?

No appointment is necessary. Come at least an hour before we close as we do not prorate the daily fee.  Come any time if you have the Unlimited Play Pass.

Can I put an Unlimited Play Pass on Hold?

Yes!  We know that things happen and want you to get your money's worth out of your play pass.  We will put any pass on hold with prior notification for the following reasons:

  • Illness for longer than 5 days
  • Travel
  • Injury that prevents safe play

When illness, travel, or injury looks like it will prevent your family from coming in to play for more than 5 days, call us as soon as you can and arrange the hold time in advance.  We cannot do this retroactively to be fair to all our customers.

Do you have a Sick Child Policy?

Okay, Ms. Erin now has to reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, for any reason, to ensure health and safety at Play Plus.

Please keep your ill children at home.  We are all parents and we know how crazy being at home with ill children can be, so please be thoughtful of others, tough it out, and we will see you when everyone is better.

Please keep your child at home if:

  • They are running a fever
  • They have a runny nose
  • They are coughing excessively
  • They are sneezing

That being said, Ms. Erin is not a doctor and will not pretend to diagnose any condition.  The above symptoms can be indicative of non-contagious conditions such as teething and allergies or asthma.  However, since small ones are not good at remembering to cover their sneezes and coughs, wiping/blowing their own noses, and remembering to constantly wash hands, they can still spread germs. Please come to Play Plus only when these symptoms are under control, no matter what their cause.

How does the Groupon special "Limit 2 per person" work?

The Groupon special is limited to 2 passes per family.  If you're planning to use them for 2 children, you're welcome to activate them both on the same day.  If you have more than 2 children, have a look at the "buy 2 more as gifts" option.  Maybe Grandma or Grandpa would like to help out?
